Flower Festival in a Church

One other small Suffolk Church in one other small village not removed from the A140 Ipswich to Norwich street.

I referred to as in for a fast go to to the flower competition I might seen marketed on a poster after going to the Jumble Sale within the church that I wrote about on Tuesday.

St Andrews Church in Wickham Skeith is in the course of the village however tucked away down a observe behind the Manor Home.

Wickham was a reputation give to their villages by the very earliest English settlers and there has most likely been a church right here since very early days of Christianity however the one right here now was rebuilt within the 14th and fifteenth centuries after which Victorianised later.

The bells had been ringing to have a good time the beginning of the three day flower competition and there was a marquee doing teas and muffins  too – I did not partake this time!

The flowers had been totally on the window sills and because it was a stunning brilliant morning the photographs did not come out too effectively. I believe the theme was ‘Numbers’ however undecided how a few of preparations matched the theme

Only a fast go to and never a church to revisit for a separate submit as it is so typical of so many in Suffolk villages.

Again Tomorrow

Sue
