That is the title of a chat I delivered to the IEET/UMass mission on the way forward for work. You may watch it above. I have a look at the historical past of technological displacement in work and argue that, even when widespread technological unemployment doesn’t occur, automating applied sciences will make work much less helpful for many employees.
