Omelette vs. Omelete: Each spellings are right, which is why I exploit them interchangeably. Omelet is the American spelling. With an American omelet, the filling is positioned on one facet of the omelette (whereas cooking), then the opposite half is folded over the filling. Omelette is the French spelling, with either side of the omelette rolled up over the filling.
