At some point the Buddha, exhibiting a treasured stone that modified color relying on beholders, requested his college students, “What color is that this?” Every of the scholars responded with a unique color. Then, the Buddha hid the valuable stone in his sleeve and elevating his fingers, stated, “What color is that this?” His college students answered, “You don’t have the valuable stone in your fingers. The place can the colors be?” The Buddha stated with a sigh of grief, “How can your ignorance be this deep? After I confirmed you a cosmopolitan treasured stone, every of you produced phrases akin to blue, orange, crimson, white, black and so forth. Nonetheless, once I present you the true treasured stone, you say that you simply don’t know.”

Pupil: “What was the true treasured stone that the Buddha confirmed?”

Grasp: “It’s the worldly treasured stone.”

Pupil: “What’s the distinction between them?”

Grasp: “When you see them as totally different and separate, each grow to be worldly treasured stones. When you see them as one, it’s the true treasured stone.”
