In 2019, Janet Levit, the then-provost of the College of Tulsa, arranged for the elimination of the college’s philosophy main. Now, new management on the college has dedicated to rebuilding its philosophy program.
The University of Tulsa introduced at present that it’s reinstating its BA program in philosophy, and that college students can enter this system starting in Fall of 2023. In a press release, Tulsa president Brad Carson makes some heartening remarks:
Philosophy is the foundational program of any college. I’m proud to reinstate this system at TU, the place we are going to rebuild philosophy into a particular space of excellence.
