Ana Gomez is a Ph.D. Candidate in Philosophy at Purdue College. In her undergraduate research, she majored each in Regulation and Philosophy and have become a licensed legal professional in Colombia, her dwelling nation. Ana’s areas of curiosity embody philosophy of regulation, social and political philosophy, utilized ethics, and human rights.

What are you engaged on proper now?  

My dissertation. It focuses on the issue of the sensible software of worldwide authorized human rights, and on the explanatory roles of nationwide social contracts to account for such an issue. What time of day are you most efficient and artistic?

I’m best in my philosophical work between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. Within the afternoons, I focus higher on administrative duties. Consistency is essential.

What trigger or charity do you care about most? 

Supporting organizations that rescue and rehabilitate non-human animals from circumstances of cruelty and negligence. Three non-profits I do know that benefit assist are FRAD, Isla Animal, and Angeles con Patas. Whereas my analysis is targeted on human rights, for years I’ve had a private curiosity in studying about and getting concerned with the safety of different types of life.

What are you most pleased with in your skilled life?

Changing into an educator. At Purdue, I’ve been lucky to seek out assets and mentors who’ve educated me to enhance practices and techniques to show philosophy, notably to STEM college students.
