Harvesting and consuming
Though October’s frost killed off the summer time backyard, the cherry tomatoes and pole beans rising on the porch trellis survived. I reckon that is as a result of they’re considerably protected by the eaves of the entrance porch. They prolonged our summer time harvest for about three extra weeks and had been very welcome!

Of the autumn backyard, we’re getting daikons and greens to go together with the final of these cherry tomatoes.

Planting
It is actually too late to plant, however I poked a bunch of fava beans into the garden swale berm and sprinkled the naked spots within the hugelkultur with turnip seeds. Probably, they’re going to be an early spring crop.
