David LaPensee has traveled to 30 nations and 47 of the 50 United States. He stated he has been taking pictures for many years and at all times has his digital camera with him.
“If I went alone or with different individuals, I at all times had one thing to do within the current second,” he stated.
“It’s a meditative challenge. That is my ardour, and it has given me a legacy that I can move on to my household and my buddies and my neighborhood. And now within the days of social media, it has helped me acquire new buddies as effectively.”
Why Pictures?
LaPensee started taking pictures in 1969, when he was residing in Boston.
“I wished to have one thing to concentrate on in my life,” he stated. “I used to be drifting on the time. I used to be a younger man working retail and felt I had no objective or goal.”
He began taking pictures and caught with it as a result of, “I used to be good at it and it gave me one thing to do,” stated LaPensee, MSW, ACSW, LICSW, LCSW, a scientific social employee in non-public follow in Tampa, Fla. “I used to be struck with a way of creativity and success.”
LaPensee primarily takes nature and out of doors pictures and now has lots of of them—which one other nature photographer informed him “are on par with Nationwide Geographic Journal.” A lot of his pictures are framed and hanging in his workplace, and he stated his shoppers usually touch upon them.
“All of the shoppers say they’re inspirational they usually’re all about hope, and that’s the message I need to ship,” LaPensee stated. “Pictures is a type of artwork. (It’s) a option to be in a gift second. I like to journey, and it coalesced with that. It’s been a supply of satisfaction for me, so I keep it up and can do it so long as I can. Pictures is a quest.”
