A boy who was stabbed throughout alleged house invasion has spoken out in regards to the terrifying ordeal that ended with him in hospital.

The boy, 15, who can’t be named for authorized causes, was sleeping in his Varsity Lakes house, on the Gold Coast, on Wednesday.

Troy Andrew Burns, 52, allegedly snuck into the unit round 1am that morning allegedly armed with a golf membership and a knife.

‘I believed I used to be dreaming,’ the boy mentioned. ‘So I used to be like, “Hey, good day? Who’re you?”‘

Mr Burns has been accused of allegedly smashing glass and stabbing the boy within the ribcage throughout the incident. 

‘I didn’t really feel any stabs or cuts or bruises or something,’ the boy instructed 9News. ‘My principal focus was survival and combating him.’

The boy’s father shortly got here to his son’s help after listening to screams coming from the room. 

‘I used to be mendacity in mattress asleep and I heard screaming from the opposite room, actually intense screaming,’ the boy’s father instructed 7News.

‘I jumped up and bumped into the opposite room and noticed the boy with an intruder, he was on high of the intruder … and the lad had managed to get the knife off him (intruder) and pin him to the bottom.’

He managed to carry the person down till police arrived.

The boy’s father mentioned he was extremely pleased with his son for the way he dealt with the state of affairs.

‘He actually stepped up, there was struggle or flight intuition – you’ll be able to run or you’ll be able to struggle and he fought,’ he added.

‘It made us lots nearer too, you recognize, the very fact him and I can struggle this bloke off.’

The 15-year-old was taken to Gold Coast College Hospital for therapy and has since been launched from hospital.

The alleged offender is believed to be a stranger to the household.

Mr Burns stays in custody charged with wounding, getting into a dwelling and possession of implements that had been utilized in relation to specific offences.
