The ocean of beginning and loss of life is so deep and large that it’s boundless. Sentient beings are drifting on the tides. The Buddha, making an enormous ship of the reality, ferries them throughout the ocean of beginning and loss of life with out anybody left behind.

Pupil: “What’s the ship that the Buddha makes?”

Grasp: “Be fast to board it.”

Pupil: “What’s it like?”

Grasp: “It’s bottomless.”

Pupil: “How can I board it?”

Grasp: “Be fast to get off it.”

Commentary:

Get off the ship in time, or it should sink.
