Mattel’s Wilma Mankiller doll.

Mattel has honored one other one of many NASW Social Work Pioneers®, Wilma Mankiller, by issuing a doll inspired by her.

Mankiller’s father was Cherokee and he or she developed a deep appreciation for her heritage.

Mankiller (1945-2010) grew to become the primary feminine Principal Chief of the Cherokee Nation and helped create the workplace of Indian Justice inside the U.S. Division of Justice.

She is the second NASW Pioneer Mattel has honored. They issued a commemorative doll of Ida B. Wells final yr.
