The Leverhulme Trust, a philanthropy in London which offers grants and fellowships to students throughout a spread of disciplines, has launched an investigation of one in all its early profession fellows who works in philosophy on the College of Cambridge.

The thinker in query is Nathan Cofnas, whom readers could recall from this episode.

In response to weblog posts he lately wrote and which have been reported on by Varsity, a Cambridge pupil newspaper, the Leverhulme Belief announced on Monday:

The Belief has turn out to be conscious of claims made in a weblog by Nathan Cofnas, Early Profession Fellow employed on the College of Cambridge. Because of this, now we have begun an pressing investigation. The grant supplied was not for analysis into the connection between race and IQ. The views expressed within the weblog are under no circumstances these of the Leverhulme Belief. We’re very clear that racism of any and all kinds is abhorrent.

Cofnas seems to imagine that the way forward for humanity relies on folks agreeing with him that the white race is genetically superior to others, at the least in regard to intelligence.

Should you’ll allow me some understated editorializing about this….

On second thought, it’s not price it.

You’ll be able to learn Varsity‘s account here.
