Triplicities abound. In case you are sufficiently old to recollect Schoolhouse Rock, you understand that ‘three’ is a magic quantity… or so the ditty goes:

You get ‘three’ as a magic quantity.
The previous and the current and the long run,
Religion and hope and charity,
The center and the mind and the physique
Offer you ‘three’ as a magic quantity.

And so it’s!
