Cameron Buckner, presently affiliate professor of philosophy on the University of Houston, will likely be shifting to the University of Florida, the place he’ll take up the Donald Cronin Chair within the Humanities, an endowed full professorship.
Professor Buckner works primarily in philosophy of thoughts, cognitive science, and synthetic intelligence. He’s the writer of From Deep Learning to Rational Machines: What the History of Philosophy Can Teach Us about the Future of Artificial Intelligence (OUP, 2023).
