Eric Brian Dayton, emeritus professor of philosophy on the College of Saskatchewan, died earlier this month.

Professor Dayton labored in argumentation principle, epistemology, ethics, aesthetics, and pragmatism—particularly the philosophy of C.I. Lewis. You’ll be able to study extra about his writings here.

Dayton was a member of the philosophy department at Saskatchewan for over 40 years. Previous to that he held a one-year place at Rutgers College. He earned his PhD from Western College.

For 12 years he was the editor-in-chief of Dialogue: Canadian Philosophical Review, the official journal of the Canadian Philosophical Association.
