When the NASW Social Work Month theme of the 12 months was “Social Employees are Important”

(Word: Place emphasis on syllables in daring.)

If social staff are essential YOU are probably indispensible

to a society dealing with a variety of ills and injustices, incomprehensible struggling

I get emotional however social work is sensible.

***

On this divide, you’re vital solutionists, crucial and critical

thinkers/Analytic, goionate, each hopeful and rational. Political.

Belief us – Compassion is inseparable from justice and actionable resolution

***

We voted even by COVID, cue the

lockdowns imposed, places of work closed, racism-exposed,

In a  12 months of rising consciousness, equity is a music we sing

To carry a 12 months of prospects, fears confronted with capabilities

***

Nothing’s irreparable. One tiny revolution in that half of the coronary heart of a Senator is what it takes. begin the place they are. Be intentional, current, factual. Be sensible

A Consultant’s response is essential for lasting political motion.

***

Be Impactful. Your tactical instruments, the practiceing, the reality plus you, your social work coronary heart and your social work crew, good, consequential, exponentially influential

You are the essence of potential and collectively we — we are potent and important.
