March is social work month and this 12 months’s theme is The Time is Proper for Social Work.
The time has at all times been proper for social work. For many years, social staff have been offering important providers, help for people, households and communities, and advocating for insurance policies that create a greater society. However right now — as we face the ramifications of the pandemic, systemic racism, financial inequality and uncertainty, and local weather disaster — the time is particularly proper for social work.
Social staff have been on the forefront of those challenges, and our Michigan Social Work group has led the sector in growing new improvements in follow, analysis and training.
Social staff are empathetic downside solvers who make a distinction on the planet, on daily basis. Social work month provides us the possibility to acknowledge our laborious work, dedication and achievements, whereas inspiring us to tackle the hardest challenges in making a society the place everybody can dwell life to their fullest potential.
