Particulars:
The goal of this workshop is to discover the philosophical and logical facets pertaining to faith coming from the Hindu, Buddhist, and Jain views. The contributors will inquire into how the relations between logic and faith are supported by rational inquiry on non secular issues. They may scrupulously study a variety of arguments postulated by Indian philosophers, logicians, and theologians. The principle themes will focus on: the doctrine of karma and the associated ideas of struggling, accumulation of deserves, and detachment, the assumption in an afterlife, rebirth, and/or liberation, the principle arguments for the existence and non-existence of a everlasting self, and the disputes between the theists and atheists over the existence of the divine realm(s) and God.
- We invite submissions of contributed papers on subjects associated to those questions, together with however not restricted to:
- Philosophico-logical arguments for the opportunity of liberation and reincarnation.
- Retributive dimension of the doctrine of karma.
- Logic and the idea of God, particularly the arguments for and towards the existence of God.
- Theism and Atheism within the Indian religious-philosophical traditions.
- Arguments for the existence and persistence of a self.
- Moral implications of non secular beliefs.
Paper proposals drawing upon authentic sources written in classical Indian languages (Sanskrit, Pali, Prakrit) and papers with comparative and/or cross-cultural elements are notably welcome.
Abstracts will need to have a most of 600 phrases and be written in English based on our template; they should be submitted through Easychair (observe that prior registration with EasyChair is required). Within the submission, one of many key phrases should be “Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism and Logic”. At the least one creator of every accepted paper should register for the congress. Accepted abstracts will likely be printed within the congress proceedings, which will likely be obtainable throughout the congress. After the assembly authors will likely be invited to submit an entire model of their works, which will likely be peer-reviewed and printed in a e book and/or particular problems with journals with publishers of worldwide recognition. Peer-reviewed papers of earlier WoCoLoR’s appeared as particular problems with Logica Universalis (Springer), Sophia (Springer) and the Journal of Utilized Logics (Faculty Publications).
