Make Philosophy” is the creation of Eli Shupe, assistant professor of philosophy and humanities on the College of Texas at Arlington (UTA) and co-director of the college’s Medical Humanities and Bioethics Program. She works with Morgan Chivers, a librarian and artist-in-residence who works at UTA’s FabLab, as effectively a staff of undergraduate analysis fellows.

The mission’s 3D fashions depict the weather of the thought experiments and assist make vivid what they ask about. The mannequin of Judith Jarvis Thomson’s “Well-known Violinist,” for instance, connects statuettes of its topics by a thread to be lower—or not.

For every thought experiment, Shupe and her staff present 3D printing information, directions, and descriptions of the problems it’s supposed to boost.

The mission is a collaboration between the Department of Philosophy and Humanities and UTA Libraries. You may study extra about it here.
