Sober Wins Inaugural “Philosophy In Biology and Medicine” Award

Elliott Sober, professor of philosophy on the College of Wisconsin, is the winner of the primary Philosophy in Biology and Medication (PhilInBioMed) Award.

The award, which shall be given yearly, acknowledges “excellent contributions to the development of biology or drugs via using philosophical and theoretical instruments”. It’s awarded by PhilInBioMed (previously), an interdisciplinary institute positioned on the College of Bordeaux, France, and its related national and international community of interdisciplinary groups.

The winner receives €5,000 and delivers a lecture at a ceremony on the College of Bordeaux.
