William Talbot, professor emeritus of philosophy on the College of Washington, has died.
Professor Talbot was recognized for his work in political philosophy (particularly human rights) and epistemology. He’s the writer of Studying from Our Errors: Epistemology for the Actual World (2021), Human Rights and Human Properly-Being (2010), Which Rights Ought to Be Common? (2005), and The Reliability of the Cognitive Mechanism (1990), amongst different works, which you study extra about here and here. He was a founding member of the Human Interactions and Normative Improvements (HI-NORM) analysis group, and a translation of his Which Rights Ought to Be Common? was named the 2011 Human Rights E book of the 12 months by the Korea Human Rights Basis.
Professor Talbot joined the College of Washington college in 1989. He accomplished his PhD at Harvard College and his undergraduate diploma at Princeton College.
