Eighty firefighters have rushed to a 24-storey block of flats in London the place ‘many of the 14th flooring flat is alight’. 

Twelve hearth engines and the Brigade’s 64 metre turntable ladder have been known as to assist combat the fireplace on Hindmarsh Shut in Shadwell.

The Brigade’s 999 Management Officers have obtained greater than 65 calls concerning the hearth after it was first reported at 12.16pm at present. 

Crews from Shadwell, Whitechapel, Shoreditch, Dockhead, Millwall and different surrounding hearth stations at the moment are on the scene. 

Folks within the space have been suggested to maintain home windows and doorways closed and street closures are in place within the space.

The reason for the fireplace is unknown at the moment.
