My Quiet Life in Suffolk: Bees

The Ceanothus on my header(often called Californian Lilac elsewhere) was fully buzzing on Sunday morning once I crammed up the mealworm feeder for the robin But Once more – the starlings can empty it in a couple of minutes once they all swoop in.

There have been so many bees of all styles and sizes and all had their pollen sacs full. I’ve forgotten how the macro factor works on my digital camera – if I ever knew – so the pictures are poor and you will have to take my phrase for what number of bees had been there unexpectedly.

The robin was ready as standard for me to fill the feeder and visits it even earlier than I’ve walked away.

Again Quickly

Sue
