Stilz Resigns from PPA; Shares Instructions to Authors

Anna Stilz (at present at Princeton, quickly to be at Berkeley), editor-in-chief of Philosophy and Public Affairs, has submitted her resignation to the journal’s writer, Wiley.

Her resignation follows the mass resignation of the rest of the editorial team on the journal in Might and their announcement that they’re launching a brand new journal.

Stilz wrote in to share the information about her resignation and supply directions for some authors who had submitted papers to the journal. She writes:

I’ve resigned as Editor-in-Chief of Philosophy and Public Affairs and Wiley has now accepted my resignation. 

I’ll proceed to function Editor in a restricted, transitional capability, solely to course of papers which have been beforehand accepted by the journal, and critiques on revised papers that had been submitted to the journal earlier than Might 22, 2024. 

Authors whose papers had been conditionally accepted by the journal previous to Might 22 should resubmit by June 25 if they want their paper to be printed in Philosophy and Public Affairs underneath the present masthead. We hope to concern remaining choices on these papers by June 30.  Please direct inquiries concerning all different lately submitted manuscripts to Wiley’s supervisor for the journal, Hannah Reed, at [email protected].
