Are you able to do philosophy with comics? “Yeah, certain, straightforward.” However why do it?

That’s the topic of this week’s visitor submit by Pete Mandik, professor of philosophy at William Paterson College. Common readers of Each day Nous will know Mandik not only for his work in philosophy of thoughts however because the creator, creator, and artist of Mind Chunks, one of many comics which have repeatedly appeared right here since 2015.

Professor Mandik is writing and illustrating a philosophy graphic novel sequence for Hackett Publishing known as Philosophy Comix, the primary three volumes of which can be on philosophy of thoughts, ethics, and demanding considering, respectively, with extra to observe.

That is the ninth in a series of weekly visitor posts by completely different authors at Each day Nous this summer time.
