Temperature

  • vary of nighttime lows: 33 to 63°F (0.5 to 17°C)
  • vary of daytime highs: 59 to 87°F (15 to 30.5 °C)

Climate Notes

  • We have gotten just a little little bit of every part – besides snow! We have had rain,
    scattered frost, and sizzling summery days. Typical April!
  • We have had a number of days of drizzle with no accumulation. I did not embody
    these in my rain totals.
  • My every day schedule has switched to summer season mode: I work outdoors within the
    morning and inside through the afternoon. 
  • Spring at all times appears to be shorter than autumn! Why is that???

Greenhouse Notes

  • The greenhouse is getting fairly heat on our sunniest days. The cool
    climate crops are ending up, however my volunteer tomato is prospering!
  • This summer season I am going to experiment with retaining the warmth out of the home.

I have been involved our lettuce would possibly get bitter or begin to bolt resulting from
our sizzling days. 
Fortuitously, these are adopted by cool days, so the lettuce stays
candy. Even so, I am actually glad to have my “Fresh Keeper.”
Numerous lettuce = a number of salads. This one contains lettuce, kale,
chickweed,
asparagus, radish, hard-boiled duck egg, and grated
goat feta cheese.

Volunteer cherry tomato plant within the greenhouse

Apparently, we have had a peony all these years. It is in a foul spot
although, 
and at all times bought minimize down due to the place it was
rising, poor factor!

Parting Shot

Homegrown meal: Scrambled eggs with asparagus
and potatoes. Dish of canned figs and goat milk kefir.
